Slots.lv Review for 2019
Slots.lv is a site which offers online casino games, bingo, lottery-style scratchcards, and mobile casino games. Though the website is new, the gaming group which owns the site is Lynton Limited, a New Zealand-based corporation. They've been in the gaming business since 1999.
A New Zealand site is not allowed to market to Kiwis, but the site is well known to gamblers in the United States, Canada, and Australia. The US and Canadian dollars are the only currency options, and English is the only language available. Players in the Commonwealth of Nations, the United States, and Ireland are going to be most comfortable there.
Slots.lv has an "approved" rating at Casinomeister, meaning it resolves player complaints and handles cashouts in a timely fashion. Slots.lv is given an annual audit by eCOGRA.
The casino library has 240 casino games and slot machines. Most of the games are video slots, which are supported by four different types of software:
- 2RealTime Gaming
- 3Genesis Gaming
Along with Net Entertainment, BetSoft is a leader in the 3D slots category. Most of the realistic or vivid slot titles on the website are Betsoft games.
Slots.lv accepts American players. RTG's gaming machines are not as pretty, though some of the titles are funny or novel and offer progressives. The proprietary software is designed in-house. The software allows Slots.lv to accept US players, but you'll see a few restrictions when it comes to ISPs in other countries.
The game catalog is diverse. 3D slots from Betsoft like "Good Girls, Bad Girls", "After Night Falls", and "Who Spun It" are pretty to look at. I'm less thrilled with the RealTime Gaming slots and the proprietary offerings, but I won't complain too much. Betsoft is the star of the show, and Slots.lv positions them on casino site as if they know it.
Slots.lv's terms need to be analyzed closely. I've reviewed several sites recently which offer a 20x or 25x wagering requirement, so I can't exactly say that the bonus requirements are good at this casino. Still, I just reviewed a site with a 50x playthrough, so it could be worse.
Keep a close eye when grading the rewards program. For instance, the Superior Referral Reward Bonus (given for referring friends) tops out at $200, the same as the basic referral bonus. Since the promotion is hyped as a 200% the amount deposited (as opposed to the usual 100%), it's really not much of an improvement. This should have been $400 to make it a compelling offer.
Slots.lv offers up to $5,000 in bonus money over your first 9 deposits. The first deposit allows people to triple their deposit up to $1,000. The next eight deposits allow players to double their deposit up to $500, for a total of $4,000 in welcome deposit funds on the next 8 transactions.
Remember to use the promo code HELLOSLOTS200 on the first deposit. Then use the bonus code HELLOSLOTS100 on the next eight deposits. Only activity after code redemption counts towards the bonus requirement, so do not forget this step. The playthrough requirement is 35x, which is about average in the industry. Only play the slot machines, keno, and scratchcard games to clear the wagering requirement. If you play any other game, you'll lose the bonus money plus any winnings. Playing any other game voids your winnings. The complete welcome bonus information is on their site. Players wanting to play lotto games and bingo receive the same bonus offer.
The New Referral Rewards Bonus provides you with a bonus the size of your friend's first deposit up to $200. The Superior Rewards Bonus for new signups is worth 200% of your friend's initial deposit, up to $200.
The Weekly Cashback Bonuses range between 10% and 25%, depending on your rewards level.
When you register a new account and input the promotional code SLOTS22, you'll receive an instant no-deposit bonus of $22 in your player account.
Anytime you wager $500 in a given week (counted Monday through Sunday) on your smartphone or tablet computer, you get an additional $25 casino chip.
Starting in August 2015, MySlots Rewards is going to become the main Player Rewards program. Sometimes called a Redeposit Bonus or "Reload Bonuses" in the terminology these days, this is the bonus money you activate after your welcome bonus expires.

A site named Slots.lv is going to rise or fall on the virtual slot machines it offers. The casino has 130 games, including the most popular titles from Betsoft, Genesis Gaming, and RTG. I want to discuss all three in their turn. Since I've discussed Betsoft already, let me start with Genesis Gaming.
Genesis Gaming is a Canadian software design companies with offices in the Yaletown district of Vancouver, British Columbia and the Green Valley area of Las Vegas. Genesis Gaming was founded in 2008 and has carved out its own niche with oddball slot machine titles.
I'm thinking about games like Alaxe in Zombieland and Machine-Gun Unicorn, each of which has to do with fighting zombies. Alaxe in Zombieland was inspired by Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland film, while Machine-Gun Unicorn takes its inspiration from My Little Pony. For all those "Bronies" who fear they'll never get to play a My Little Pony Slots game, you can get the next-best-thing with Machine-Gun Unicorn. This ICE Finalist "Game to Watch" is about the day zombies invade Ponyland.
Other Genesis Games which don't follow the usual pattern of Egyptians and Aztecs include:
- Steampunk Heroes
- Mystic Monkeys
- Star Crystals
If you happen to like Egyptian themes, the company offers games like The Gods of Giza.
Betsoft Gaming Ltd was founded in 2005 by game designers who wanted better-looking online slots. The developers at the Valletta, Malta firm have succeeded, as they compete with Net Ent and a few other 3D slot design companies for the best-looking slot machines in the industry.
Betsoft is known for its 3D slots, but the company does offer classic slots games like Reel Outlaws, Back in Time, Aztec Treasure, and Lucky 7. The 21 non-3D slots the company offers provide the throwback themes gamblers in the 20th century preferred. Betsoft's 3D slots designers seem to take their inspiration from Hollywood films and popular TV shows.
The company has no licensed slots, but many of them have a suspicious similarity to popular shows of the last generation. Weekend in Vegas is clearly inspired by The Hangover movies, and Under the Sea is a knock-off of The Little Mermaid. Slots Angels looks to be inspired by Sons of Anarchy. And even though Rock Star is based more on an era of music than a single band, Slash might consider suing the designers for his likeness being used on the game.
Not everything is a knock-off to something in the pop culture, as House of Fun seems to be simply a wicked idea about people stranded in a haunted house full of clowns and carnies, though I might be missing the reference. House of Fun is like a cross between a Rob Zombie film and a Tim Burton production. Paco & The Popping Peppers is like no other slot machines you'll ever play. The game, which has cascading wilds, is about "Paco and his salsa friends".
RealTime Gaming is a software design company located in Heredia, Costa Rica, which is about 6 miles from the capital city. RTG is owned by Hastings International B.V., a gaming company operating out of Dutch Curacao in what used to be called the Netherlands Antilles. RTG originally was an American-owned game design company which was formed in 1998 in Atlanta, Georgia. The original owners sold out after the UIGEA was passed in 2006, and the company soon was moved out of the country.
RealTime Gaming offers over a hundred slots titles, which are not all available on Slots.lv. Like the two companies above, it has a lot of bizarre storylines, such as Rudolf's Revenge and Santa Strikes Back. These games are wicked Christmas games, but they're fun enough to play all year. RTG is one of the most common providers of slots for US-facing online casinos.
All three of these gaming software design companies have a couple of things in common. They are US-friendly, meaning they accept play from American real money gamblers. Also, all three companies develop slots titles which do not follow the standard patterns of online slots design. I can appreciate that commitment. I'm guessing these people assume U.S. slot machine gamblers like strange themes. Being an American myself, I'm not going to dispute their assessment.
As mentioned earlier, Slots.lv has 130 slot machines in the library. Of these, 77 are progressive slots.
Video poker is well-represented with 17 variations. These include all the games you would expect to see. Deuces Wild and Loose Deuces, which offer some of the best expected returns in video poker, are welcome additions. I see no major oversights here, so I give the video poker library a thumbs-up.
- Jacks or Better
- Jacks or Better 3 Hand
- Jacks or Better 10 Hand
- Jacks or Better 52 Hand
- Deuces Wild
- Bonus Deuces Wild
- Bonus Poker
- Bonus Poker Deluxe
- Double Bonus Poker
- Double Double Bonus Poker
- Double Double Jackpot Poker
- Double Jackpot Poker
- Joker Poker
- Joker Poker 3 Hand
- Joker Poker 10 Hand
- Joker Poker 52 Hand
- Loose Deuces
Six of the games are just multi-hand version of Jacks or Better and Joker Poker. I would not recommend playing these games. They fall into a disturbing trend in online gaming in which the casinos offer multi-hand, multi-spin, or multi-roll version of a game. All this really does is force you to go against the house edge more times, which is not to your advantage. Even if you choose to lower your bet, it minimizes the variance, which is great for the casino and not-so-great for you.
Play Jacks or Better or Joker Poker in its original form, instead. It might not seem as exciting to win or lose only 1 hand at a time, but it's not to your advantage to win 17 of 52 hands every time you spin. In fact, it's a losing proposition.
The table games section of the site has 16 different casino table games and 3 specialty games. The library includes 6 different variants of blackjack and the 2 main forms of roulette. Craps and baccarat are present, of course; and so are several table games based on poker. I like the inclusion of Vegas Three Card Rummy, which is unusual online.
- Classic Blackjack
- Caribbean Stud Poker
- 21 Blackjack
- Caribbean Hold 'Em
- Double Deck Blackjack
- European Blackjack
- European Roulette
- Let 'Em Ride
- Pai Gow Poker
- American Roulette
- Single Deck Blackjack
- Zappit Blackjack
- Vegas Three Card Rummy
- Tri Card Poker
Visitors to the site will notice three specialty games: keno, scratch cards, and Virtual Racebook. Avoid keno or scratchies; their house edge is awful. Also, the Virtual Racebook lacks the element which makes betting on horse racing great - the ability to learn about the thoroughbreds and make real picks based on your expertise.
Stick with the table games and slots.
- Scratcherz: Scratchcards or "Scratchies"
- Virtual Racebook: Simulated Horse Racing
The mobile casino at Slots.lv appears to have most of the online games converted for mobile devices like smartphones and tablet computers. The site has downloadable casino apps for iPhone 3 and later. I recommend having an iPhone 4 or iPhone 5 at the least. Of those, because of the huge screens, those ridiculous-looking iPhone 6+ are the best smartphones for mobile slots. All versions of iPad are compatible.
The mobile casino is designed for the Android OS, too. Android commands 79% of the mobile smartphone market, so any mobile casino is going to support the device. That means Slots.lv should be compatible for smartphones like the LG G4, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung Galaxy S6, HTC One M9, and Motorola Nexus 6. Hit smartphones of 2014 like the Asuz Zenphone 2, LG G-Pro 2, Motorola Droid Maxx, Moto X, and Moto G should work fine for many months to come.
The same goes for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and newer Note 12.2, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, Asus Nexus 7, Google Nexus 10, and Amazon Kindle Fire HD. While Android's tablet computers are roughly equal to the iPad with about 45% of the market each, each operating system is going to be supported by any legitimate mobile casino, which Slots.lv is.
Remember to activate the $25 Free Chip anytime you gamble at least $500 in a week's time at the mobile casino. This expires in 14 days, so also remember to bet the chip before it expires. The playthrough on this $25 chip is an insane 60x, so don't get your hopes up that you'll ever cash out the bonus.
Slots.lv conducts all business in the English language. The site is designed with American and Canadian players in mind.
A contact form exists for US players at this page.
Contact Slots.lv using one of the following:
- Toll-Free: 1-855-446-3770
I could not find a Live Chat feature for Slots.lv, which is disappointing.
Slots.lv is a site designed for Americans and, to a lesser extent, Canadians. People from most other countries are likely to find better play options at the big UK and continental European gaming sites. US players who want a solid set of table games and quirky online slots, this site is going to be far up the list.
I would like to see more payment options. I understand that American Express and PayPal aren't going to support transactions for a website skirting the UIGEA. Neteller tries not to offend the U.S. government these days, while Skrill pulled out of the Canadian market a year or two ago, so that explains why two major options aren't available.
But I still wish a few quicker withdrawal options existed.
